The Essential Western Mayfly Box has the dry, wet and nymph fly patterns you need to land trout on the surface and below. Featuring 13 patterns, many in multiple sizes, with 3 of each fly you receive 72 flies that allow you to imitate a variety of mayflies throughout their life cycle.

Each double sided box holds flies that represent different stages of it’s life cycle and includes a laminated card listing the flies and their hook size. This makes it easy to restock the flies that may have been lost in the field. Each box also has an image of the fly family on the lid.

If you are new to fly fishing and the wings on the fly that just landed on your arm matches the wings on the box, you now know this is the box to use (the mayfly has wings like a sailboat). This includes the commonly fished Baetis, or Blue-winged olives that offer some of the first spring hatches in many areas.
